Zenith Bank Plc “The Bank” hereby informs its shareholders, NGX and the investing public that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has given its ‘No Objection’ to the re-engagement of Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank. The re-engagement is effective August 2, 2023.

Recall that in March 2023, Zenith bank announced Dr Umeoji’s retirement. This was based on an earlier CBN policy which puts a restriction on the number of years for senior Executives occupying Executive position.
Brief Business Profile of Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON
Umeoji is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and holds a doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Lagos. She is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN) and the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Umeoji has held a number of senior positions at Zenith Bank, including Executive Director, Head of Retail Banking, and Head of Corporate Banking. She has also served as a board member of several companies.
